Skyridge is the Jordanelle corridor's most ambitious residential master plan—670 acres of gently sloping terrain on the northwest shore of Jordanelle Reservoir, positioned directly between the reservoir and Deer Valley's East Village ski base. Wasatch County approved the project in phases, with 503+ units authorized across the community; the current build-out targets 476 carefully sited homesites, more than half of the total acreage preserved as open space. Outside the gates, Jordanelle State Park's Hailstone Marina is minutes away with boat launches, kayak and paddleboard rentals, motorboat rentals, and a swim beach. Getting Around
Skyridge sits on the northwest shore of Jordanelle Reservoir, roughly 1.6 miles from the Deer Valley East Village gondola base. A dedicated ski-season shuttle service runs between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily, with on-demand and point-to-point scheduling via a mobile app—so ski days typically require no car. Park City's Historic Main Street is about 8 miles west via US-40 / SR-248, a 15 to 20 minute drive. Salt Lake City International Airport is approximately 40 minutes via US-40 and I-80. Heber City's grocery, medical services, and the Heber Valley Railroad are roughly 15 minutes south on US-40.

Wasatch County approved 503+ units across Skyridge's phased development plan, with the community mapped at approximately 476 curated homesites across multiple named subdivisions released in sequence. Phase 1 comprised 132 single-family homesites in the first two subdivisions; subsequent phases add higher-elevation view lots and attached product. Is Skyridge Ski-In/Ski-Out?
Skyridge is not a ski-in/ski-out community in the traditional sense—properties do not sit at the gondola base—but the community's proximity to Deer Valley East Village is a central selling point. The 10-passenger gondola at East Village accesses Deer Valley Resort's expanded terrain. During ski season, Skyridge operates a dedicated shuttle to the gondola base on demand throughout the ski day. The gondola base is 1.6 miles from the community, making ski access faster and more convenient than most non-slopeside addresses in the Park City area. Deer Valley remains a skiers-only mountain—no snowboarding.
Are Short-Term Rentals Allowed in Skyridge?
Yes. Skyridge is one of a small number of Jordanelle corridor communities where short-term rentals are expressly permitted. The community allows nightly rentals with a three-night minimum stay. Owners must obtain a Wasatch County nightly rental license and comply with transient room tax requirements. Because STR rules can vary by specific parcel, building, or HOA sub-association within the community, always verify current permissibility at the property level before purchase.
Schools
Skyridge is served by the Wasatch County School District. Deer Creek High School—a brand-new, $169 million campus opening August 2026 just west of Heber City—will serve the Skyridge and Jordanelle corridor. Wasatch County SD revised school attendance boundaries in November 2025 to accommodate the new high school. Confirm elementary and middle school assignment for any specific Skyridge parcel with Wasatch County School District prior to closing.
