Lindon's amenity life draws on both the bench above and the lake below. The Murdock Canal Trail, 20.8 miles paved and opened in 2013, passes through Lindon and is one of seven cities it connects, running from American Fork through Cedar Hills, Highland, and Lehi, then south through Lindon to Orem and Pleasant Grove. The Bonneville Shoreline Trail above the east bench, the Provo River Parkway, and the Provo River Delta trails expand the trail network toward the lake. American Fork Canyon is about 15 to 20 minutes north for summer alpine recreation. Sundance Resort in Provo Canyon, accessible via US-189, is roughly 20 to 25 minutes southeast for ski, mountain bike, and Stewart Falls hike days. The Gillman Farm historic site is a preserved orchard-era landmark within city limits.
Getting Around
Lindon is served by SR-89 (State Street) and I-15 via Orem/Lindon exits, putting the freeway roughly 5 to 10 minutes west. Provo and BYU are 15 minutes south; the Orem tech corridor is 10 minutes; Silicon Slopes in Lehi is 20 to 25 minutes north. Downtown Salt Lake City and the airport are each about 40 to 45 minutes north via I-15. There is no FrontRunner station within Lindon; the Orem Station and Provo Station are the nearest, both accessible within about 10 minutes south. Provo Canyon (US-189) adds an eastern route to Sundance Resort and Heber Valley.

Lindon Marina, accessed via N Vineyard Rd on the west side of the city, offers two boat launch ramps, rental slips, a sandy beach, kayak and paddleboard rentals, fishing, and a convenience store. Utah Lake, at approximately 96,600 acres, is the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi River by surface area. From the east bench, the lake is visible in one direction while Timpanogos fills the horizon in the other. The Provo River Delta park adds newer recreation at the lake's northeast corner, with an adventure playground, outdoor classroom, and picnic areas where the Provo River flows into Utah Lake.

Alpine School District is splitting effective July 1, 2027, and Lindon is assigned to the new Timpanogos School District, along with Orem, Pleasant Grove, and Vineyard. This is a different successor district than Lehi, Alpine, Highland, Cedar Hills, and Traverse Mountain, all of which go to the Aspen Peaks School District.
